talk2know (“we”, “us”) provides a learning product where people learn with communities, teachers, and an official companion. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

• Account data — email, display name, password hash (if you use email/password).
• Social sign-in — when you use Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive the identifiers and profile fields those providers share (typically name and email) to create or link your account.
• Learning data — path choices, progress, communities you join, messages you send in product features, and related preferences.
• Optional integrations — if you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar data needed to show and sync learning events you authorize.
• Technical data — device/browser info, IP, logs needed for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

• Provide sign-in, your learning path, communities, companion guidance, and teacher tools.
• Secure accounts, prevent abuse, and fix product issues.
• Communicate about your account or important product changes.
• Improve talk2know using aggregated or de-identified signals where possible.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI features

Companion and AI Teacher features process the content you send so they can respond. AI help is labeled in the product. Do not submit sensitive data you do not want processed for learning assistance.

5. Sharing

We share data only with: (a) service providers that host or operate the product under contract; (b) identity/calendar providers you choose to connect; (c) authorities when legally required. Learning communities you join may make some of your activity visible to other members according to that space’s design.

6. Retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. After deletion requests, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where law requires longer retention (for example security logs).

7. Your choices

• Access or update profile information in the app settings.
• Disconnect social or calendar integrations where offered.

8. Children

talk2know is intended for learners and educators. If you believe a child has created an account without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take action.

9. International transfers

We may process data in countries where our hosting providers operate. We apply safeguards appropriate to the service.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
